Hey everyone, just wanted to ask if anyone here has ever used professional construction estimating services before starting a home project.
I’m asking because I’ve been planning to add an extra room to my house, and honestly, managing the costs is harder than I thought. Some friends told me to get help from an estimator instead of guessing numbers myself. They said it helps figure out the real costs for materials and labor upfront, which can save a lot of money later.
I’ve always done my own rough estimates before, but sometimes I end up spending more than planned. So I’m wondering do you guys think hiring someone for accurate cost estimating is worth it, or is it better to just handle it yourself with online calculators and quotes?
