Job Description

Your Profile should be: 
Mainframe DB2 knowledge and experience
Experience in Mainframe DB2 / SQL technical troubleshooting
Minimum 2-3 years of relevant professional experience
College or specialist degree
Active knowledge of German and/or English
IBM mainframe basics
Customer-oriented attitude
Independent work
Good problem-solving skills
Flexible attitude
 

The advantage to have:

Practical knowledge of ITIL, agile methodology
IBM mainframe utility, JCL knowledge
COBOL programming basics
CICS basics

Tasks:

-Database-side (DB2) operation, tuning, modification, and installation of data warehouses and related applications in a test and live environment
-Monitor, operate, install, and upgrade DB2 databases
-Creating, updating and migrating databases
-Database performance monitoring and optimization
-Ensuring high availability of databases
-Proactive operational tasks (backup, monitoring)
-Participation in operational testing
-Related applications 2nd / 3rd level technical support
-Ticket administration and documentation management based on ITIL
-Complex problem solving: root cause analysis
-Compliance with processes
-Incident / Problem / Change / Configuration Management
-Active participation in daily / weekly customer meetings
-Checking and testing new functions and / or bug fixes
-Coordination of updates (releases) with relevant disciplines
-Prepare, install, and test new releases
-Participate in transactions and manage documentation
-Acquisition and use of new tools and technologies
